METEORWRONGS

maybe Magnetite with Chromite. Attracts strong to a magnet. Shows small metal speckles on cut face (big image). Found by a friend of mine in the Tyrolian Alps.

Weathered cast iron. Found by myself on meteorite hunting in the acres and fields of our farmers in the Carnuntum region.

Limonit - Was found in the Saharan Desert and sold to me as a meteorite (by an expierienced meteorite dealer).

Moqui Marbles - Balls of compacted sandstone, encased in a "shell" of hematite (an ore of iron)

Putorana - Terrestrial Iron in Basalt, a wonderful Mesosiderwrong

Prophet Stone - Found 1997 in the Saharan Desert, no analysis data known.
